Founded by the Dulude family, in loving memory of father and husband Jeff Dulude.
Our mission is simple; STOP Skin Cancer in it’s tracks!
Our mission is to promote education and sponsor the development of innovative programs dedicated to increasing awareness regarding the prevention, early detection, and treatment of melanoma – the most deadly form of skin cancer.
IntelliTec Beauty Academy in Grand Junction, Colorado hosted Defeat Melanoma colleague, Debra Hesse for an introductory presentation on skin cancer awareness. Debra, a melanoma survivor, discussed the early detection of skin cancers with the students.

Every July we sponsor a fun photo contest featuring sunscreen application and sun safety!
Take a photo of you and your children or friends applying sunscreen. (Keep it clean). Fun for any age!

Due to the Pandemic and the scaled back Spring training games, the award for Corporate Responsibility will be pushed to 2022. The Arizona Diamondbacks will receive the Defeat Melanoma award for Corporate Responsibility in Sun Safety for their free sun screen stations at Spring Training. These are at the Talking Stick ballpark of the Cactus League. Defeat Melanoma is dedicated to sun safety to provide melanoma.
These free sunscreen stations at Spring Training games are well used and greatly appreciated by baseball fans.
Do you have a suggestion for a corporation that provides sun safety? This could be for providing sunscreen to employees or customers, providing skin cancer screenings to employees or the public. The ideas are extensive. If so, to recommend a corporation, contact us.
The sun shade installation is complete at The New Day Center family homeless shelter’s Family Hub in Phoenix! These structures provide shade on for an area that is usually sun drenched. The size is flexible.
Defeat Melanoma is focused on melanoma prevention. Preventing extensive sun exposure is essential to preventing 90% of skin cancers.

Defeat Melanoma is committed to melanoma prevention through providing free sunscreen dispensers in public places. In addition to providing skin protection we are creating awareness of sun safety steps.
Currently we are proud to provide sunscreen to Boulder County Parks and Open Space at trailheads We also provide the University of Colorado Health Science Center with sunscreen dispensers throughout their plazas.
Boulder County, Colorado joined Defeat Melanoma this past summer as a test site for providing free sunscreen at local trailheads. The campaign, the Great American Screen Out!, is a project aimed at increasing sunscreen usage and ultimately preventing skin cancer diagnoses by making sun protection easily accessible.
